🔑 Checking In

Check-in is at 4:00 pm Central Standard Time. An early check-in is not typically possible because we need to give our cleaners enough time to get the house ready for you after the prior guests have checked out.

Please check your messages from us for your unique door access code. This will be sent 3 days prior to your arrival.

TV

Each TV is equipped with a Fire Stick, which will allow you to login to any of your favorite streaming services (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, etc.). We also provide YouTube TV free of charge to access live tv during your stay. YouTube TV can also be accessed through the Fire Stick on each TV.

Outdoor TV

• ☔ Keep Covered – Roll up the cover while using, but keep it on when not in use.
• 📍 Remote Storage – In pouch behind TV or on kitchen counter.
• ⚠ Handle With Care – Do not pull down the TV arm, only swivel left/right.

🚙 Our Golf Cart

The golf cart is included with your rental to make getting to the beach or the area shops a breeze! The cart is provided by Destin Paradise Rentals. You will only have access to the golf cart if you complete their waiver and provide the required documentation HERE.

The golf cart key is located in the lockbox inside the front seat of the cart. Please check your email for the lockbox code if you provided the necessary waiver and documentation.

Golf Cart Rules

• 🆔 Driver Must Be 21+ with a valid license & insurance.
• 🚦 Road Use Only – Only on roads 35 MPH or less; no sidewalks! Crossing roads with a higher speed limit (such as route 98) OK as long as 35 MPH or less on both sides.
• 🔌 Charge After Use – Always plug in after every ride and park in garage for overnight storage.
• ⚠ Flipping Hazard – Take corners slowly.
• 🛠 Troubleshooting – See Golf Cart Troubleshooting section for common issues.

Remember, it is a registered vehicle that requires a valid driver's license and insurance to operate. Guest assumes responsibility for any damages, missing keys, or towing due to running out of a charge.

Golf Cart Troubleshooting

• The battery gauge on the digital screen of golf carts is notoriously inaccurate. For the most accurate battery reading, please refer to the red light bars on the side of the dashboard.
• The golf cart should be able to go about 25-30 miles on a full charge depending on how much weight is on the cart during operation. The cart takes a few hours to charge, so remember to always plug it in when not in use.
• If it runs out of charge and you need to push it, open the middle seat battery compartment and locate the switch on the right side. Flip the switch all the way down to put it into neutral (be careful, as this will disengage the brakes!)

🏊 Pool Information

• The pool can be heated and cooled to keep it at just the right temperature between March 1st - November 31st each year (as long as sustained outside temperatures remain above 50 degrees). Depending on the outside temperatures, it could take a couple days for the pool to get to the right temperature. If you'd like the pool to be temperature controlled, please notify us at least a couple days before your stay and we can add pool heating/cooling to your reservation.

• The pool light is automatic and cannot be turned off for safety reasons.

• Pool cleaning occurs twice per week. The pool cleaner will not need to enter the home. Guests cannot be in the pool during pool cleaning.

Optional In-Pool Alarm

• The rear door has a child safety alarm on it that should not be disabled. Additionally, you can choose to use the in-pool alarm as an added safety feature. This white L-shaped device is typically stored in the garage. It sits on the edge of the pool in the water and senses if something goes into the water without first removing the alarm.

  • To remove the alarm:

    • Hold the red key fob (attached to the unit) to the back of the alarm until it beeps.

    • Remove the alarm and set it off to the side, standing up (like an upside down "V").

  • To replace the alarm (alarm should be replaced after each use if there are kids under 6 y/o in the house):

    • Hold the red key fob (attached to the unit) to the back of the alarm until it beeps.

    • Place the alarm in the water by putting the rod into the hole on the edge of the pool.

  • To temporarily silence the alarm after activation:

    • Hold the red key fob (attached to the unit) to the back of the alarm until the unit stops alarming and you don't hear the alarm inside the house.

    • The alarm may remain in the pool while silencing if you plan to leave it in the pool.

  • In case of a high winds or heavy rain causing false alarms:

    • You may remove the alarm during the storm and set it on the covered porch until the weather returns to normal.

    • If the interior alarm is sounding due to excessive wind triggering the alarm even while out of the pool, you may unplug it. The plug is located under the green cabinet in the dining room area.

🗑️ Trash Collection

• 🚛 Pickup Days – Mondays & Thursdays (early morning)
• 🔄 Put Bins Out Night Before
• 🚨 HOA Fine Warning – Trash cans must be returned by end of pickup day.

🔥 Propane for Outdoor Grill

There are extra propane tanks for the outdoor grill located in the garage. If you exchange a tank, please let me know so I can order a new tank for future guests (at no charge to you of course). Nobody wants to run out of gas in the middle of cooking a delicious meal for their family!
